The consignment auction is a service that gives the possibility to individuals to sell objects while limiting the relative steps.
Obviously, when you want to sell an item on the web this creates obligations, you have to take photos, answer calls or emails, meet people, etc., which may deter some. Thus, Encans Laval offers you to carry out these steps for you for remuneration in the form of a percentage.
Depending on your needs, the item you wish to sell will be displayed for a period between 7 days and 14 days, a weekly or bimonthly auction. Buyers who covet the item will be able to bid during the predetermined period.
All you need to do is bring the item to us for sale, and we’ll take care of the rest. This includes taking snapshots of the item for sale, performing the description, uploading it, meeting the buyer, and ensuring that the payment is made.
Then, payments to sellers are made within two weeks of the auction closing.
Important Information
- presumed sale lot amount must be a minimum of approximately $30;
- auction period varies between 7 and 14 days;
- no information about the seller is transmitted to the buyer;
- selling fees are 25 % + $1 per lot of item(s) relisted.
